Why Petersburg Residents Choose Red Light Therapy
34,000 residents. A community ranked as Virginia's least healthy locality by County Health Rankings. A city that deserves better options — and now has one, 7 minutes across the Appomattox.
Drug-Free Pain Relief
The Crater Health District faces some of Virginia's highest rates of chronic pain, and the opioid crisis has hit the Tri-Cities hard. The CDC formally recommends photobiomodulation for treating conditions underlying opioid use. A 15-minute session in our Prism Light Pod addresses pain without a prescription.
Fort Lee Military Families
Fort Lee cycles 70,000 troops through annually with a $2.4 billion economic impact. Musculoskeletal injuries are the number one medical reason for limited duty and discharge. The VA recommends photobiomodulation for TBI treatment, and all branches now integrate it for warfighter effectiveness.
Warehouse & Logistics Workers
Amazon fulfillment centers, distribution hubs, and manufacturing employ thousands across the Crater District. Standing 10+ hours on concrete creates chronic back, knee, and ankle pain. Red light therapy targets the inflammation that over-the-counter painkillers only mask.
Healthcare Workers
Southside Regional Medical Center staff and healthcare workers across Petersburg carry the physical toll of 12-hour shifts. Red light therapy reduces inflammation and supports recovery for the people who spend their days caring for others.
VSU Students & Faculty
Virginia State University — the nation's first fully state-supported HBCU, ranked #11 among HBCUs — brings 4,600 students and hundreds of faculty to the area. At $79 for new clients and 15-minute sessions, red light therapy fits student schedules and budgets.
Old Towne's Creative Community
Old Towne's shops, galleries, restaurants, and Trapezium Brewing keep staff on their feet all day. From Friday for the Arts to the daily lunch rush at Croaker's Spot, standing shifts create leg pain and fatigue that red light therapy addresses at the source.
Petersburg Wellness & Fitness
The Tri-Cities’ only dedicated red light therapy studio — not an add-on at a tanning salon or chiropractor’s office.

The Cockade City
400 years of resilience, from Virginia’s earliest settlements to today’s revitalization.
The 9.5-Month Siege
Petersburg endured the longest siege in U.S. military history — a 9.5-month campaign from June 1864 to April 1865, spanning 30 miles of trench fortifications with over 70,000 combined casualties. The city’s fall led directly to Lee’s surrender seven days later, ending the Civil War.
Pocahontas Island
The oldest free Black settlement in Virginia and a documented Underground Railroad station. By 1810, one in five Petersburg citizens was a freed African American. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 2006.
Old Towne Renaissance
Over 180 historic structures spanning three centuries line Old Towne’s streets. The $23 million Hotel Petersburg renovation, $81 million in Partnership for Petersburg grant funding, and Friday for the Arts — running 18+ years — signal a city writing its comeback story.
Blandford Church
Built in 1735, Blandford Church houses 15 Tiffany stained-glass windows — one of the largest collections in any single building. The adjacent cemetery holds 30,000 Confederate graves.
